Floyd

Yes, as many of you know, I was on the Floyd Landis panel. He lost his vote 2-1, I'd like to think I was the one who voted for him. I think it's BS that there can be so many flaws with testing yet even flawed testing can take away some one's livelihood, their biggest accomplishment and over 2 million dollars. We'll never know if Floyd did it or not, there are so many scenarios where he could have, so many where he could have been set up and so many involving flawed testing that the real answer will never be known. I'd like to believe that he is innocent, to the point that he didn't knowingly take testosterone. Everything beyond that is possible to me. Man, if that Mark Larson wanna be did vote against Floyd I guess I'll have to kick my own ass!

So it begins...

Today was day one of my new cubical. That’s right, I went ahead and built a new cubical by adding some walls to the desk I was supposed to sit at. People seem to like it, only a couple people have been annoyed with it but they can deal. Other than that, it’s really boring over here. The person I expected to entertain me said nothing except asking if I could turn my stereo down. Seeing beltline traffic go back and forth in the background of my screen is a new experience. So you know what sucks? I can’t get radio reception here, Not XM, Not AM, Not FM. So my 5 hours of sports talk in the morning seems to be gone. I’ll look for some better antenna solutions when I get a chance, and a new stereo as mine takes up half my desk…and the CD skips about every time I move. As far as working with my wife and boss, so far so good. I think my boss is adjusting as well so it’ll take time. Jess has been great about the whole thing so far so hopefully that will continue.

In other news…well there isn’t really other news. This week has been dominated by the move. I have went running the past three mornings and have lifted enough to where I can do it every other day. Probably on an MWF schedule for lifting and maybe taking every third Friday off to heal up completely. My base running training has went well though, better than I expected, so life is good in that respect. I even rode my bike yesterday! Dog class was good again last night, Chili just turns it up on Wednesday Nights...it's really nice! We start bowling league this Friday. Not sure about that yet, but if the Mundys enjoyed it last year then I am sure we’ll enjoy it with them this year…at minimum we’ll have good company. Lots of sports on TV this weekend with the Brewers, Badgers and Packers all getting HD games. Thanks for reading!

Sunday night...

Weekends, happen so fast! Just a short three days ago I was awaiting the weekend to be here...now it's almost gone. Quite the cycle you enter when you join the work world. Is it Thanksgiving yet?

Friday I got up way too early. By 3:55am I concluded I could no longer sleep. Y isn't open yet so I decided to take my run outside, and with Chili. By 4:10 we were out on the road and by 5 we had done 5.6 miles and were tired. Had some water and protein and was to the Y by 5:30 to lift. Got in a good weight lifting session. Then I got in an hour of hoops. With me having to work late that day I decided to come in late, so I went home, messed around on the computer and rode my bike to work. Was working before 8am. What a crazy morning. We had a mini golf outing that lasted until 5:15 or so. Good times! Just hung out at home the rest of the night.

Saturday I got up early yet again and played more basketball. Got done with that (somehow I managed to go 9-0 and in the two day span) and headed home. Jess and I went out shopping for a couple hours since we couldn't watch the Badgers game. We went to Red Robin for lunch when a strange thing happened, I only had my meal, no extra fries. I must be sick. Chilled for a while that afternoon and then I ran to Verona (4.5 miles or so) and met up with Jess and the pups for some bark park action. Got home, scrambled around the house to clean up and got ready and then we had people over for games. Games were awesome. Played a bunch of games including a new one called Bubble Brain which is pretty sweet! Boggle, Scattergories, Blockus, Bohnanza, Imaginiff and Bubble Brain in a 5-1/2 hour span.
Sunday I got up...late! 8am is late by my standards. Read the paper with my coffee. Went to work to clean up some stuff and then to the grocery store to replace some lost cilantro. Then over to the Mundys to watch the Packers whoop up on the Giants. Awesome. Dari (their boxer pup) is so big now! It was fun! Then back to the bark park with our pups and now here I am writing a below average blog post. Awesome!

-I knew there was a reason I only like to play in one fantasy football league. Now I play in two and this week Carson Palmer killed me in one and helped me kill in another. Except it wasn't a total kill yet so we'll have to wait and see.
-Hez is a gaming bastard. But she did ride her bike to our house and today I passed her in my car while she was motorcycling.
-Boxers are the best!
-I am a decent mini golfer, except when I play at Vitense...then I am worthless!
-I can't buy clothes anymore, they no longer sell the type of stuff I want to wear.
