The Waffle House Chronicles...

Photo of the year?

Here is a photo of me taking the photo of Tom Danielson that I posted last week on my blog. Seems he must be a fan of me! :)

I am pretty darn cool! Here are the ride stats for the race. I started my computer about 1 mile too late which sucked because the first mile I actually averaged over 20mph as I led the race out. Here is the half downhill that Wolf and I did.

The Colorado aftermath is almost over. I feel rested again and with the exception of our house being totally exploded inside life seems back to normal. Just looking forward to the next trip, wherever and whenever that may be.

Sounds like I might have to race again next week since a mystery visitor will be making an apperance at the Levis 100 ride next weekend. Also it appears the summer of friend relocation continues with the Riz and Hez both moving in August.

Nothing much else to report on my side, just trying to stay cool. Larkin says...check this out.

I'm so rad!

We are home from Colorado. We made it in just over 15 hours yesterday and now we have today to chill! Our last day there was pretty laid back. I went out for a ride and my legs were still shot from climbing Mt Elbert. I was going to ride home but flatted. I've never used the CO2 inflator I had but apparently the internals were all rusted. It broke the seal on the CO2 but it wouldn't let air out into the tire. Crappy. Jess came and picked me up on the road. Figured I was done riding for the trip. We then went shopping in downtown Breck and to the art fair they had. It was fun! We got some cookies at Mary's Mountain Cookies and then hit the Empire Burger again. We then went up to Peak 8 to ride Alpine Slides. Unfortunately it started to rain and the slides were closed. I then offered to serve up a mountain bike demonstration at the Free Ride Park. So we headed there (Jess, Mom, Beav and Ali). My mom made a couple videos and then ran out of memory so we didn't get the last stunt or the big teeter. But the first stunt was rated a double black diamond (it was narrow and twisty) that Jess made me do and the second is the small teeter.

It felt great and everyone enjoyed! We then headed out to Happy Hour at the Whale's Tale (my dad wanted $.10 shrimp) and then out to some Italian place. I wasn't all that hungry so Jess and I just shared some pasta. Then we headed home and packed it up. Departed at 5:40am local time and got here at 9:57 local time (lost an hour.)
