The Waffle House Chronicles...

As you probably have already figured out, I’ve been living weekend to weekend lately. Seems like life is in a holding pattern right now, busy all the time but nothing really noteworthy going on, just day-to-day life. The first episode of the Office was awesome. They had to write some people off the show which was kind of half-assed but that’s the case with any show. Of course some of you are TV haters although I’ve never met a TV hater who isn’t a hypocrite, so I just embrace TV as part of my life, not as my life, just as part of my life. Work is work. Not sure what else to say about that. Today was nice, played some basketball, had a great time at the dog park, did some house work and watched the Badgers win.

Chili Update- It appears that Chili’s battle with bad breath will soon be in the past. Seems he had a mouth infection that may have been a result of his spring-time electrocution. The one side of his mouth is perfect, the other is injured and infected. So right now we are clearing up the infection and hopefully the injury isn’t too bad so it won’t require surgery. Either way we’ll had a nice vet bill on Tuesday and his next appointment will be pricey no matter what the outcome is. But two days on antibiotics has done wonders for him. As for class, he was a star yesterday. The only problem we had in class was with him waiting before going through doors, mostly because we have our own procedure for it that works for us which is a lot different from the procedure they want to teach and he was confused. Before class we took him to the dog park and they are different dogs when it was cool. Chili and his buddies Lola and Stryker just seemed to have double the energy since it was 60F and not 80F which makes it extra fun!

Lets see, besides work, dogs, running and TV, there hasn’t been much else. Jess and I went to a movie Thursday called King of Kong. It’s a mocumentary (which apparently isn’t a real word yet) about two guys in pursuit of the world record score in Donkey Kong. It was good and had that independent feel and a retro trip beyond typical retro. Anyone who enjoyed video games in the 80s will like this movie.

According to Wiki: "A scripted movie adaptation is already in the works. Director Seth Gordon has said that the movie might be a sequel instead of a remake, telling the story of how the documentary changed both men's lives, as well as their continuing rivalry"
