Brewer Fever?

Last night we went to the Brewers game. I had a cold all day but sucked it up although we skipped out on any planned tailgating (as did everyone else.) We had the Mundys with us and we tailgaited yuppie style, first a stop at the outlet mall for my wife and to Starbucks for Tracy. I promised Kyle some donuts but was half-kidding and said maybe after the game. We got there a bit early but we got inside and got our free Charlie Moore bobbleheads. We tooled around the stadium for a while before settling in for the game. The game itself sucked, the Cubs led off with a 6 run inning and it was a blowout. Obnoxious fans abounded in both Brewers and Cubs gear. Beer was spilled upon people and my cheesefries were cold and awful. If it wasn't for the great company and hanging out it would've been bad, so we still had a decent time. The parking lot after the game was like a game of Rush Hour. I made some moves that made me happy but probably didn't net me any gain. Of course the put up all these barracades and we ended up on 94 east. Downtown Milwaukee here we come! We ended up at the lakefront. Then I remembered where a Dunkin Donuts might be. So we headed that way. Alas, it was there and open. Us and the lady behind the counter were the only ones who were awake, there were no less than 10 bums taking refuge in there. 6 donuts for 2.99 (only two were mine) and some drinks and a pound of vanilla coffee later we were on the road and happy. Behold, the power of donuts...

  • The game sucked? I can count at least nine ways you are wrong, my friend. Today's game was great, too. We'll have to do it again sometime...

  • How does your donut-radar work? Solar or battery-powered?

  • That sucks about the game sucking in person. At least there were some flavorful donuts at the end. I'm also curious on how your donut-radar is so effective.

  • It's kind of like J.Bro's Gaydar for clothes...it's a gift.
