I think that trip could be a lot of fun, assuming it's well documented. I still think What-a-burger is overrated and Sonic / Jack-In-The-Box can't be beat.

Documentary: RAAM (Race across America) supported 100% by fast food with no restaurant repeats for the whole trip. That could be legendary...or it could be a heart attack just waiting to happen!
I can't speak for What-A-Burger but JITB can hang as can Sonic (which is a bit pricey though.)
