Das Boot...

So my plantar fasciitis feels the same as when I first got it. I finally saw a doctor. Now I get to wear a lovely boot to bed and do lots of fun exercises when I am not asleep. The best part though is that I got a prescriptions for custom shoe inserts so I get fitted for those on Friday and that should relieve a lot of pain. Hoping to be pain free sometime in April. Hopefully Jess will find me attractive still in my knee-high grey boot. At least it looks better than a pair of Uggs.

Here is a link to my bike ride today. Nevermind the average speed and all that jazz. Look at the map. Yes, I actually rode across the lake. I did this same ride yesterday but forgot my GPS so I had to repeat today. I got very wet as there are puddles every where and I also got very dirty. The lake portion is a blast and I am hoping one of these days to ride it all the way across like my coworker did. Yesterday was more crazy though. I had a tailwind entering the lake and it was pretty much glare ice. When I tried to make the turn to Olin park though, I couldn't. My bike got less grip then the wind pushed so I physically couldn't turn without crashing. It took until I found a patch of slush where the tires gripped enough and then I aimed about 200 yards upshore of my destination and the wind made me fade right to Olin park. It was a blast! Today the ice was slush covered the whole way so it was no big deal, just slippery. With highs in the 40s tomorrow it might be a 3-day riding fest! Might even ride in on Friday and group ride it Saturday. Gotta get back into some shape.

We made the playoffs in City League basketball. We play a team we beat before too, so it should be interesting! We get this Monday off though because of school spring break so it'll be like the two week preperation that teams get before a Super Bowl. Last night we got to go out with some near and dear friends and I enjoyed some Hubbard Ave Diner. Busy week as tonight is my only night of not having anything to do. Of course a week ago I was here so I gotta keep busy this week so I stop thinking about last week...
