Spring is here...

So Spring has got sprung. The Brewers are winning, people are riding bikes and I busted out the shorts. I think it's even possible to go mountain biking in Wisconsin...definitely going to check that out soon!

Week was a good one. Took me all week to almost get caught up at work. Got a bunch of dog park trips in now that the park is (relatively) dry. Chili is a very happy dog. That was pretty much the course of the week. Thursday it was raining so Jess and I went and saw the movie 21. I can't recommend it but I really did like it. It's not for everyone, but it was for me. Friday night we went out to a musical at the Orpheum called the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. It was Jess' suprise to me as I wanted to see in when we were in NYC last spring but we opted for Altar Boyz (which is still the best live show I've seen.) The Spelling Bee was hilarious and I can recommend that to anyone who loves stage shows. I also made my return to basketball Friday morning. It felt good to work out before work, I'll have to do that more often. Saturday morning I also got up and played and I can't remember ever playing better so that's a good sign. After that Jess and I hit the first Farmer's Market of the season. No one had any crops so it was kind of boring. I bought some hot & spicy cheese bread but now it's $7 and the loaf I had sucked so I definitely will be eating much less of that this summer. We hit Trader Joes on the way home. We then headed to the $5 Saturday morning movies. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was the flick we opted for and it rocked. There was a little too much male nudity (countered with too little female nudity) but other than that, it was a most excellent comedy that I highly recommend! Got out of the theater and instead of going shopping it was too nice so we headed out on the bikes. We got a 28 mile road ride in to Paoli and almost to Belleville. It was interesting to see how much flooding there was everywhere though.
On the military ridge trail there was water on both sides, it was cool. Jess also wanted these as proof that she rode her bike this year. Took the dogs to the park after that and we cleaned up the house as we had company coming over. We played games well into the night.
Now it's Sunday morning and I am about to head out for another road ride before heading to the dog park for a boxer bash and then to Research Park to watch some friends bike race. Have a great Sunday (and week.)

  • I don't believe Jess was on her bike. In the first photo, you can't tell who it is; in the second, there's no bike. Nice try.
