Cuts like a knife…

I just can’t seem to be healthy. And I am not sick but I am often injured. Guess that comes with old age. Yesterday while playing basketball I was running full speed and I turned my ankle. I hit the ground so hard that it hurt my other knee. I realized a few minutes later that I took a chunk out of my knee and bled on a couple pairs of pants. Now I have a nice scab. And a swollen ankle. And my turned ankle reaggravated my sore knee. All this the day before a hospital visit. Today I went to get my groin checked out, I was pretty sure it was a hernia and it’s been sore for about a month. Yep, on February 19th I get some surgery and have to miss 2-3 days of work, a bowling outing, a dodgeball tourney and a good 2 weeks of functional workouts. I’ve been inspired to lose weight and have lost over 10lbs playing basketball and dieting but I just can’t seem to get my body healthy…it’s frustrating. So chalk February up as the month of pain, hopefully March will be better. It’s been a very crappy week anyways (from Monday on at least, Sunday night rocked) so I am excited for Friday to be here. Man, do I need a weekend. I am hoping at some point my cycling season can get jump started.

I really don’t have much else going on. I have watched Teen Jeopardy three days in a row and have gotten Final Jeopardy each time, so I am kind of proud of that.
